Re: Official Album SURVIVOR (Round 10)
I had the time so I cast my vote...
This time, I gotta keep it to myself.
I want the power of the music to light the way
The music is alive and it was all made with specific functions/messages/objectives so,
that is what needs to dictate the gravity of the ascension
since all that rises must converge!
Yes, even gravity leads to the Beatles.
Let the sky fall!
Thank you, WilliamShears!

The story is much longer but those are the broad strokes!

Re: Official Album SURVIVOR (Round 10)
The lore which holds aloft Pepper as the best album has been effectively discredited. While no slouch of an album; a magnificently fine work, full of wonder and some of the best tunes The Beatles e'er rendered---Pepper is not their best work. Not in the top three. But it is in the top five.
Now things get a little more heated. I know what my pick is here.
If Lennon were around, my guess is he'd pick Abbey Road to go next.

"To choose is to lose" <-----(this simply means to take the one is to leave the other behind)
So, If it doesn't get harder with each passing week...it isn't The Beatles. In the briefness that was seven years, the world witnessed incredible Beatles accomplishment. There was no time for them to look back. It was a roller coaster of creative infinity that for The Beatles was over as quickly as it began. All they knew was that it was happening through them. When 1969 ended...the Light no longer shone on them. They finally had a new vantage point and I wouldn't be surprised if none of them could remember any of it. We were lucky to have them. There is no best. Everything they did was exactly right for that moment. Only once EVER have four bolts of lightning struck the same location at the same time. It won't happen again. It won't have to. We have all the proof that we need. 50 years on, the music sounds brand new...every time, every song, every calendar. So, join in the survey and pretend that there is a best. There are no desert islands. Choosing the best Beatles album is easy for us. But, leaving the rest of them behind...is IMPOSSIBLE!
We still don't know how good it is...
It's still growing on me!
Thank you, WilliamShears!
