Seems a bit silly they chose an Anthology track for the second preview. Do they even realise it has been available for nearly 30 years?

I was kind of hoping it would sound more like Lewisohn described it, but I think it actually sounds a bit worse here (although the longer ending is great).

I think I know where the Sgt. Pepper inner groove should have been placed!
(Besides, the laughter at the end of Within You Without You was sublime)
This song is meant to mimic mind altering chemicals. If this is stereo it's not enough to be appreciated.
I love its evolution as much as the finished dosage.
However, there's gonna be a lot of listeners who will actually be under the influence of said chemicals and a serious 8 or 10 seconds of inner groove mayhem in ultra wide stereo would be enough to get through the portal...COMPLETELY!
A heavy drone, a heavy sway...
girl, I love to see you walk that way!
PEAK-aboo!

Tomorrow Never Knows (take 1) appears to be only recorded using 2 tracks: instruments & vocal.

I agree it's an odd choice for a preview track.

I thought it was recorded across 3 tracks as heard on the Anthology monitor mix of it

I really don't think Mark Lewisohn was hearing anything different from what is presented to our ears on Anthology and now. Just his idea of "heavy metal" might be different from ours. Or at least was when he wrote his book.

Yeah, sometimes it's hard to describe music. The old fallback - "it sounds a lot like" some other track doesn't really apply here. It sounds like nothing they previously did.

Wmgk.com played the Yellow Submarine 2022 remix. Did anyone capture it?
