I'm wondering just what is in the Jackson film aside from the rooftop. Six hours is a long long time. I guess we can assume that one of the episodes might detail the Studio Performance, although with only three songs and maybe a few excerpts that would probably total no more than 30 min. And even if you factor in two or three versions of each song on the album, that still leaves an enormous amount of time left over - hours and hours. So I figure there MUST be a lot of oldies jams and hopefully even the Dylan songs. I particularly would like to see those because on the audio you can hear everything gradually go quiet as George gets going and I figure they must have been listening to these new songs. It would be very interesting to see their reactions.

I'm also hugely encouraged by the knowledge that Peter is - or at least was - one of us. One of our members remembers trading Beatles tapes with him in the 80s. So he's going to have an instinctive grasp of what to put in the series, and I suspect he will include all the same sorts of things that we would have chosen.

Lord Reith wrote: Fri Sep 03, 2021 8:13 am One of the first boots I ever bought was The Black Album, and while I enjoyed the whole thing tremendously the track that really got me was Mama You've Been On My Mind. This is such a beautiful song. But you can't really hear the words because George is singing so softly. A few years ago I discovered his solo demo of the song, but was disappointed to find that the arrangement is different and he'd added slide guitar.

So what I've done here is take out the slide, organ and whatever to just leave George and guitar, and also edited it so that it resembles the Twickenham version. I did this basically for myself, but I hope you like it too.
I love this song too, and what you've done with it. Thank you for letting us hear even the personal small projects along with your major endeavors.

Good! Just wish we had a clean version of I Threw It All Away. I like that one equally.

Thanks. I just wish he'd sung it in his own voice and not tried to sound like Dylan. But it is still a great song.
