The first preview clip of the new single featuring Paul rocking out on the Hofner with Malawi/U.K. band The Umoza Music Project has been released. How’s he still surprising us after all these years?!

There’s several versions coming starting with a Radio Edit single on Friday next week, an extended instrumental with bass front and center and limited edition 7” and 10” vinyl discs. All the proceeds go to the Malawian singers. Paul recorded his bass live at Hog Hill Mill studio in Rockdown during what would end up as the McCartney III sessions.

The band have shared a short interview clip of the Malawian singers (who hadn’t heard of Paul or The Beatles when the project started) talking about the track and the impact of Paul playing bass. There’s a different section of the track, with a different bass riff, in the background.

The vocal radio edit, and a full length instrumental at nearly 7 minutes, are being released this Friday on all streaming/download services.

This track is now available on all streaming and download sites with a full length music video also on YouTube. And it rocks!

The single contains 2 tracks - a radio edit of the vocal version, with Malawian singing, and a full length (nearly 7 minute) instrumental that really highlights Paul’s bass, includes bass solos and even a section where Paul plays deadened strings along to the hand drums. It ends up like a world music/dance track! A great release featuring Paul as he prepares to celebrate his 80th year!
