Many thanks!

Track06 wrote: Sun Jan 16, 2022 1:58 pm Thanks for one I need to listen to immediately. I don't understand how to use hum for speed correction on 1+ generation recordings. How to know at what generation the hum was introduced?
The hum is usually strongest from an open mic, but you're right, on rare occasion the hum from subsequent poor dubbing can overwhelm the original hum. It's always best to have another means of verification.
With extreme FFT sizes, you can often tell apart the mains hum of several generations, if they vary in speed. I've written a tool for this.

Rock & Roll Music from Revolver TV could be improved with declipping before EQ etc. I think I did that at some point but can't find it anymore.
I did try declipping first, but didn't hear any improvement, so didn't end up doing it. I'll take another look!
The clipping erases the high frequencies completely, so I'd recommend first running extremely strong declipping in iZotope to guess the missing frequencies, and then shaping those synthetic frequencies with the regular mono mix, aligned in spectralayers. Decrackle, maybe.

Turns out I did declip first, just forgot to include it in the notes. If what you propose is an improvement, I'll make an update.

such a fantastic set ! this is a damn good job in assembling these bits and pieces of studio sessions. :)
There are some great moments : I really love this bossa-nova tempo/arrangement of "No Reply" (same for "Mr Moonlight") - too bad that this bossa-nova "No Reply" is not available in its entirety or is it an aborted take (it does not sound like it is)

Thanks for the info on the hum, both of you. Really think I have to try humspeed now.

I've just seen this video, which features a take of I Feel Fine I've never heard before:
(at the beginning)
Where does it come from? I've never heard it in any bootlegs.
