Well, can I say you two always surprise me?

Great! Now it must be the most complete existing version, unless (but I might remember it wrong) there was an unused strings overdub just after the last "Sun, sun, sun, here it comes"? I seem to remember csnyfan had isolated and added it in his orchestra isolation of Here Comes The Sun (it was in 2019, I think). Taken from that infamous LITMW snippet.
masterjedi wrote: Tue Nov 26, 2024 8:20 pm That really doesn't excite me enough. I'll leave it to someone else.
Fair enough.
Also, it's just a snippet, sadly. If it was the whole vocal take, it would've been different, I suppose.

I believe you, don't worry.

csnyfan wrote: Tue Nov 26, 2024 8:28 pm When oopsed at that spot, take 5 has a unique "Come to-" in the background that does not match the main vocal, which is from take 1 by consequence; the "-gether" from take 1 drowns out the one in the noise, though. Too faint to reconstruct pleasingly, imo.
Very interesting...
So, this confirms that the "Come Together!" in that spot is not from Take 5, and it was "borrowed" from Take 1.
Not the other way around (but MasterJedi had provided enough evidence already).

So, Take 5 will be left as it was in the SDE.
We have to "thank" Giles Martin, I suppose?

I commend Gary's and csnyfan's high-quality control system, to make sure we only get the best versions.

Thanks again for tall your hard work on this series.

During the second to last "sun, sun, sun" actually, and what makes you think it's missing? ;)

Well, I don't really know if something's actually missing... I remember csnyfan retrieved an unused snippet for his orchestra isolation, so I thought: "is it here in this track?"
I probably wouldn't notice, though.

There's that, AND an extra unused "and I say". There's actually a couple more accidentally selected unused tracks snippets in LITMW (I seem to remember a little more lead guitar and some unused harmonies) but they happen so briefly, they don't work well in the mix. That's why I kept the full LITMW as well.

Alright, thanks for the explanation.
There are so many little things here and there that were unused that, well, I had lost track of some of them.

I was wrong about that one. It doesn't have the added background noises that some of the other ones have. The decompression is more accurate, but there were some volume fluctuations that I had to iron out manually.

Such a great set ! I really enjoyed the complete ending of "Come Together"; but did you also do the same for "Old Brown Shoes" ? The long ending is new to me or was it on the SDE.
Regarding "I Want You (She's So Heavy)", will the other takes be on a further volume (with the overdubs for I Me Mine, etc...) ?

I still have no good ideas on how to split up the 2 I Want You takes
Wouldn't something like this work? hxxps://we.tl/t-99RWgVGJgQ

The Rock Band version with "She's so heavy" muted, with the reduction mix edited onto the end (excuse the crummy mix and edit, I just threw this together for reference). Then that gives us the complete EMI master as well as a separate track with the Trident session dialogue and partial outtake.
