Has anybody ever got their hands on an Original 8 track multitrack tape from the beatles?

Great piece of work! TBOJ&Y Tk 10 w/o overdubs, Octopus Remake, Come Together with cold ending - wonderful to have these in the collection!

THANK YOU!

PS: I still think the vocal rehearsal + backing track Oh! Darling would make another nice extra, even if the fidelity of the vocal source tape is poor. And even though the vocal is incomplete.

How would they? The only multitracks that got leaked until now were the Pepper songs during the 2007 Remaking Sgt Pepper project.

Items not addressed:
I still have no good ideas on how to split up the 2 I Want You takes
Paul's vocalizing the lead guitar solo of "Something" from RB - multitracks are outside the scope of this project, and it's probably buried in the common version already
Come Together (take 1) (at 1:10) and Come Together (take 5) (at 1:30) contain the same identical "Come Together!" phrase - agreed, but sadly, we have nothing to fix take 5 with
Oh! Darling delay tape onto backing track - was unable to get anything that sounded half way decent
For You Blue and its two lead vocals "Faders up" version - these 2 vocals just sound horrible together

If I've missed anything else, let me know.
Great, thanks! :D
I'll have a listen as soon as I can.

Thinking about Come Together (Take 5) (which had a phrase flown-in from Take 1 (or the other way round))... Maybe Lennon simply didn't sing anything in that spot, so they decided to take a "Come Together!" from another take?
Listening to the drums track of Take 6 (Rock Band stem), it seems he doesn't say "Come Together!" at all after "One thing I can tell you is you got to be free". Maybe he was out of breath? Also, the second "Come Together!" in Take 5 sounds a bit out-of-place to me, because he was struggling to sing just before that phrase.

But that's just a wild guess.

Likely flow in from take 1, as that has the full breath before, as opposed to being faded in on take 5. Giles was going for a hit single I guess over historical accuracy. Good thinking about the possibility there just wasn't anything sung there. Maybe I should just remove the vocal in that spot?

Golden slumbers is the old one, I think the decompression is reasonably accurate, more so than the compressed one, because it modulates the noise with the single band compression.

Alright, so it seems that Take 1 was not tampered with. Strangely.

I don't really know... my guess that Lennon might've been silent in that spot could be completely wrong.

Would it be possible to do some OOPSing and hear, maybe as in the Drums track of take 6, if Lennon actually sang anything in that exact spot? I suppose it would be very difficult since, well, we don't have multitracks of Take 5, "just" a Stereo version (and AI isn't really an option here, right?).

I've listened to the new volume (V2).
What can I say? Great! :D

Take 10 of The Ballad Of John And Yoko is fantastic! Was it done recently? It's much better than the old one with the wobbly stereo effect.

Also, I've noticed that Here Comes The Sun (Take 15) has every overdub as the final version, plus the solo, the count-in (well, the "intro", we should say) and also the long sustained note at the end! I suppose this one was recently done as well.

I suppose it's not possible to isolate the snippet of the raw vocal of Come Together (Take 6) from the BBC special and put it on the backing track from Rock Band, to hear how (more or less) the original backing track sounded like?

Thank you, as always.

EDIT: Just a question: at 2:26 in the Here Comes The Sun (Take 15 isolation mix) (LITMW) track, there's a strange sound (might be a tape stopping?) which is not in the Take 15 mix with the solo. Should it be included? Is it part of the original take? Hard to tell.

Freshly redone by Csnyfan!

Freshly done by me

That really doesn't excite me enough. I'll leave it to someone else.

Pretty sure it's a suppressed sneeze by George Martin while filming. Check the video if you don't believe me!

When oopsed at that spot, take 5 has a unique "Come to-" in the background that does not match the main vocal, which is from take 1 by consequence; the "-gether" from take 1 drowns out the one in the noise, though. Too faint to reconstruct pleasingly, imo.
