In the Get back Film on Jan 23, Paul and the other discuss Jimmy Nichol playing She Loves You.
Is there any audio or video of this. Sounds like a lark to hear.

When I listened to them talking about playing She Loves You in Sweden 1964 I only thought of this, the worst live version of She Loves You ever

Thanks for the quick response.
Wow, it is terrible, no wonder they remember it so well.

Of course this cant be the version that Paul mentioned ....he said Jimmy Nichol couldn't start the song...this one comes blasting in...sans John's vocal at that..

I don't think Jimmy played in Sweden, he only played Denmark, Holland, Hong Kong and some show in Australia, but I could be wrong... :?

I wouldn't take what Paul said to be 100% accurate on this matter. For example, he often tells the story of how the first line of the Love Me Do single was foisted upon him in the studio and that you can hear the trembling nerves in his voice, This, of course, is not true, because they had already recorded it weeks before with Pete. As with a lot of Paul's recollections, there's an element of truth and quite a bit of false memory

The Stockholm concert tape was "discovered" not very long ago. As far as I can remember it was a stereo tape but one of the channels got erased and so some vocals are missing. It features about two thirds of the show.
