I was just reading something about the roof setup the other day. It's a Hohner Pianet, which went unused.

I noticed this also.

Right before Paul McCartney steps out on to the roof, if you watch Kevin Harrington he looks to be strumming the lap steel lying on a chair.

When George Harrison goes of to his position you see Rocky, but you'll also notice an acoustic guitar.

Maybe there was the intention to play For You Blue on the roof and others?

It's a pianet. It is what produces the funny little kiddy piano sound in For You Blue. Never been quite sure who played it though, since all the other Beatles were occupied. Might have been George Martin.

Actually...what's the thing that can be seen on the floor during the Apple sessions against the wall....and is also right over Billy Preston's shoulder during the rooftop show....next to the Fender PA head....I think it might be an echo unit but I'm not rightly sure....
