Thought I was real clever downloading the HDR version of a certain well known series. Then i discovered while the resolution is twice that of HD, the colour and contrast is terrible. But I can't find any way of converting HDR to SDR without a GPU.

Anybody done this? Keep the 2060p resolution but with SDR?

vlc is able in performing conversion, but here even a better solution:
