The "1969 Recordings" album uploaded by Apple and Calderstones Productions to Spotify a couple of years ago probably gives us an indication of what was on early versions of the set. If you subtract the GB album from "Total Time" that leaves two roughly one hour cds (which might have been Discs 3 & 4 at one point)

That would have been a far better set than the one they did put out.

Yeah, I just wish we all hadn't had our heads up our behinds when it went up. Assuming it was up for more than a day.

Giles said something to the effect of the rooftop not being included because he'd rather watch it than listen to it. Not sure I'd agree with that given that you can't drag a bluray player aound with you. It should have been on the ridiculously short "EP" but maybe PJ wanted an exclusive?20YearsAgo wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 2:18 amI'm really hoping that the Complete Rooftop material will be issued as a "bonus cd" whenever the Peter Jackson films hit the home DVD/BR release phase.
An additional cd to go with the series has been floated by people but I don't have much faith in that transpiring. At any rate I'm sure we'll all be ripping our own audio copies of the series anyway. I'm just counting the days until we get to see it.

It seems that at the point the movie went from 2 hours to 6 they made the decision to juggle the box set around, which, on principle, I’m okay with. We will see what the movie includes and possibly more importantly a later BR set with extras. If given a choice I would choose video every time since the audio can always be extracted for minimal effort. That said I could go for a rooftop vinyl.Lord Reith wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 2:47 amGiles said something to the effect of the rooftop not being included because he'd rather watch it than listen to it. The Cd4 flac files available on Reddit are in fact not from the SHM Japanese Let It Be version but a copy of the edition released in rest of the world

I checked the Reddit out, and it definitely does have the correct 1969 mix of For You Blue.
