Thanks, MD5 checksums are identical to the version I downloaded in 2018:
122f70e72db923370d83c9a1848ecea7 *01-Nagra Tape Roll 488A.flac
77a9d7db342816d5a99e07056ba3fa6d *02-Nagra Tape Roll 489A.flac
ded9410bb69cf3382359dd923e083618 *03-Nagra Tape Roll 490A.flac
e419a8d68b97fe3c640d730d52e03c66 *04-Nagra Tape Roll 491A.flac
Thanks. Different rips would have probably been made on different drives with different offsets which would lead to different checksums, so we should most likely have the same rip here, just looking at that aspect only.
A look at A/B Road could verify the chick had access to good files at least while we have not.

Thanks all for figuring this out. Yeah, I'm bummed it's the same rip. Well, I tried!
I did dig through PC's Complete A/B Road and found the missing bits but I don't have the means to recreate the faulty disc.

Depending on the accuracy intended this could be very tedious and is still a less-than-ideal solution and seems a very last resort to me. If I could somehow get my hands on original discs instead, I would most gladly do EAC rips and upload them. ;)

EDIT: There is another flac version with different (usually smaller) file sizes on a network called similiar to 'heartsearch'. That one is derived from mp3s of the faulty rip, so don't bother downloading.

DBD series were pirated in Russia as physical CDs; only a few first volumes were lossless, and the majority of that series was lossy-sourced.

A comparison of 2 sources. On the bottom there's mainly crackling remaining after aligning, inverting one and mixing them down (just like oopsing), with some short pieces of sound where the 2 are out of sync, same at the end, just long enough to clearly see.

I'll do more of these and try to make sure generous CDRTRADE's rips of 10, 11, 12 are the cause for very little of this at most (as it seems at the moment). Upload of the 3 would follow.

I’m glad you can look at all that and make some sense of it! LOL. And I don’t understand oopsing either. What is the deal with that. I see it a lot here.

Take a look at oopsing as a mathematical procedure. Like, if you have a track on one copy of a boot, let's call it A. And a track on another copy of the same boot, which you invert. If they are exactly the same, the result of their mixing into one track (which is summation) will be A + (-A) = 0. If the track that you inverted is different, even to a little degree, you won't get 0 (a horizontal line of zero amplitude in the audio-editing software, at any moment of time throughout the sum track). It does not matter which track should be inverted.

If your result is not zero, oopsing won't tell you which track is OK and which is not. One should look at any tell-tale signs in both of them, like when the amplitude of the inversion gets different from zero as in MitchellMichael's pic. Both tracks should be looked upon very closely at such moments of time.

So here are Volumes 10 -12 from CDRTRADE.
They don't have the crackle.
They aren't the cause of the bursts of asynchronous audio.
What we had here frequently has a strange error where 12 samples are removed or duplicated then later the opposite to make up for the time difference. There may be clicks at start and end of these sections, but while they are out of sync they sound OK.
