I look forward to hearing "Now And Then," AI production and all. The technology has improved in leaps and bounds. And this will be a new release in the moment. That's exciting to me. As for the R&B album re-releases...to me this is simply a greatest hits package. While it'll be nice to hear the newly remixed early tracks, especially, She Loves You, this is still in many ways a cop-out.

The 60th Anniversary of the first two albums; an opportunity not just missed but totally blown off.

A Rubber Soul SDE, yet another example of deception and deflection. Perhaps in 2025 (oopsies) we'll get the SDE of this one combined with Help!

This year's edition is quite the upper, but also quite the downer.

Who feels the same?
I think that this will be more or less the version we heard all this years with a new drums part.

I was 19 when Free As A Bird was released. I was both excited and worried about what it would sound like. I remember waking up early to see the premiere, feeling vaguely sick in the stomach ! Anticipation and fear. Then the whole day was "Beatles" everywhere, all the radios were playing it, commenting it, including stations that would never have played a Beatles song usually.
I must say I don't feel the tenth of this excitement for Now And Then. Guess I'm getting older. I'm looking forward to it, still, and I will listen to it the day it comes out, obviously. But I don't have very high expectations. I hope I will be proved wrong and be thrilled.

I'll be in Liverpool Thursday at 2pm listening to Radio 2 for the big moment, excited to hear what they have done and how good Johns voice sounds. Giles Martin has also mixed in some of the backing vocals from Because and Here, there and everywhere.( or did I dream that bit? )

Good to think wherever we all are in the world, at 2pm UK time we'll all be listening together.

Free As A Bird was strange for me because at that exact time I was in a bad place financially and very worried about the future. So I can remember that day very clearly because i went for a long walk and had FAAB going in my head the whole time, which was not helpfull because it is a very melancholy song! I still get depressed now when I hear it.

At last, a positive response, from Bulldog1969. I TOO CAN'T WAIT. So much negativity around right now, this release will hopefully bring some cheer back into the world , if only for a moment, it will be worth it. Thank you for the piano demo.

Yeah, the threads on SHF are just horrible. I took one brief look today and it was like looking in on a bar brawl. People seem incapable of having civil discourse these days. By comparison, look up the "On Air" thread from exactly 10 years ago, and it's hard to believe it's the same forum.
