It's weird that Paul is just now getting around to doing Now and Then. I mean, UB40 did a version years ago (granted they completely buried John's vocals in the mix, and may have changed some of the words, and did kind of a reggae take on the whole thing, but still).

Re: New Beatles track - as per McCartney
Ooo, will it be released on a new compilation, such as a new Anthology? With full version of Red Hot, full It's For You demo, Carnival of Light. If Paul is saying this is the last Beatles record, might as well make it something really special.
To be honest, if it is Now And Then, it's going to have to be pretty special, I mean the BillyMartin fan-made one from 2012 is great, as is Lord Reiths Evolver version. I don't think it's really going to be bettered than what we already have surely?
Interesting stuff though!

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’ll be part of a remastered/repackaged Anthology reissue
This always comes to mind…

Seeings as SDE is the big thing now I don't really see a new anthology-esque thing happening (I do wonder what this means for rs sde tho), at most I could see a new mini doc about the beatles, as it would fit with PJ announcing a new beatles related film project about a year ago. Could be wrong tho, its all speculation

Exactly my thought. Why promote it now? His photo exhibition.Rickenbacker325 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 2:39 pm I wouldn’t be surprised if it’ll be part of a remastered/repackaged Anthology reissue

Why release it later in the year? A remastered Anthology streaming release? If it is Now And Then, it's not obvious what else it could be promoting or why else they'd do it.
Re: New Beatles track - as per McCartney
the idea to get John's vocal extracted by AI sounds ok to me
but I'd wonder what will they gonna do with Harrison's part? supposed they want to make Now and Then as a Beatles song, no idea if George recorded anything for the song to begin with...

Jeff Lynne has mentioned before that they recorded a backing track in the ninetees. So there must be George his guitarwork on it. Let's hope he played a solo on it. They did a short job on it, so i hope it's enough to balance George his part on the new recording.

What? AGAIN???
Stop diluting the...
That's not even wine!
It's The Beatles.
Think about that!
If NOTHING in this Universe is sacred, then go ahead.
But, if there happens to be anything compassionate in the heart...
then there must be criteria(1962-1969) in 'The Beatles'.
Peace, friends.

What's next? The Beatles performing Anarchy In The U.K. and Blitzkrieg Bop.

I was thinking Mitch Weissman should sing Boil Crisis!loserlist69 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 15, 2023 9:04 pm What's next? The Beatles performing Anarchy In The U.K. and Blitzkrieg Bop.
Umph! Prick the blighter!
The 'problem' will be when the biggest hits ever are discovered to be AI tax-free(?) creations and nobody ever even notices it.
Now, you've got someone more popular than Jesus! Who wants communion?
