Zappa and Lennon live
Is there a version of the live "Well, Baby Please Don't Go" that has Yoko's vocals edited out? I am not a Yoko hater - I just think the song would be better without her input in the song.

„Take this brother, it may serve you well.“
Yoko is edited out (so far as possible).
It's my edited remix and remaster, which I was still waiting for further use.
Hope you enjoy it!

wow! this is the best "attempt" to remove or attenuate Yoko's scream and yelling during the verses; which was so annoying for me, because John's has such an amazing voice on this one.khundalini wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 2:19 pm „Take this brother, it may serve you well.“

How you did this ? which version did you use ?
The "Playground Psychotics" Zappa album has a different edit with Ian Underwood keyboard solo and a second Zappa killer guitar solo (awesome!)
there was the slow part of Baby Please Don't Go which is not of the live side of "SomeTime In New York City"
there is an unreleased MiniDisc leak from a John Lennon collection but this is an edit (featuring Zappa second solo) and running 4mn53
your edit is way longer and features all parts! great job! chapeau bas!
(the Zappa new "cut" in the Zappa box set which came out last year was another different edit and Yoko's yelling was not attenuated)
From what I remember the video footage has John's guitar more in front of the mix; he did use one of Zappa's guitar from what I remember.
It looks and sounds like an Epiphone, though; so I though that was John's Epiphone.

I'm guessing he got it from here:Rupert Pupkin wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 4:15 am

and maybe isolated different parts from the other mixes? It's pretty amazing that he accomplished this since the AI would think her voice is a musical instrument instead of a voice.

To answer your questions and guesses:
Source is the Zappa box set "The Mothers 1971". The recording is the most complete in the best sound quality.
AI cannot solve the problem of removing Yoko's voice alone. In the end, it is also tedious manual work.
My mix sounds a little different than the original because I made my own stereo remix.
Another Yoko-free version: "Cold Turkey" from the 'Live Peace in Toronto' album:
