Re: The Beatles Black Box Mono Collection (1982)
May I ask a technical question? Why the tracks are not splitted?
I never make needle drops, so I cannot tell by experience. To have splitted tracks do you have to rip the one at a time? Sorry if my question sounds silly but I had to ask it.
And Tom don't see my question as rude, it is very technically simple.

EXCELLENT questions usually have excellent answers!
In my own mind, I can picture this being the only way to have the EXACT length per side which is actually part of the nuance!
It isn't the wall that is important but rather the openings in it that make it useful!
Just a guess!
Pardon my forwardness in this matter!
Sincerely,
KC
Edit: Guess #2...to avoid crossfade continuity problems/(NOTHING subjective)
......Guess 3: So it plays through without indexing compatibility issues!
3 strikes? I'm Out!

Re: The Beatles Black Box Mono Collection (1982)
The album is usually ripped one side at a time and from there it's easy to losslesly edit the file into individual tracks either by the creator or the downloader in audio editing software if required. I think that perhaps more in the past than today cue sheets were provided which are basically text files containing information about where each track ends/begins along with other information about the file making it easier to verify if say a rip is a true copy of a released CD, these cue sheets could be used by CD burning software to accurately place the track markers on a burned CD. Tbh I don't know of any advantage of a single rip without the cue sheet information on a separate text file beyond personal preference.yymca6 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 3:19 am May I ask a technical question?
