Revolver 2022... it's ON!

I've always found Rubber Soul and Revolver to be too shrill.
Right through the 2009 remasters it has held true.
I could enjoy any one song, but never wanted to play them as albums for that reason.
It was just unpleasant to me after a couple of minutes.

I know that you can't really go 100% by YouTube versions,
but if this sampler is any indication, my problem is solved.

And Taxman has just the right amount of cowbell!

I dig this mix, it has this vingate feeling (the drums slightly pan to the left among other things) but sounds modern at the same time, I gotta admit that i'm kinda hyped for the SDE, finally there's a good official stereo version of the album and the extra CDs don't look bad at all, looking forward to the Dolby Atmos Remix, the EP thing keeps buggin me out, I think you can fill all that storage space you within a cd with more things than 2 songs but at least it's not the Let It Be SDE situation all over again where the EP cd was clearly destined for the Rooftop Concert, that thing still annoys me to this day, what a waste of money and resources

O dear they have dropped a few clangers with this SDE. looks like having to wait for the bootleggers get to the atmos mix on bluray.
the vinyl set is way way too expensive. i'll wait till after christmas to get the cd set.

Demo of "She Said She Said" has been collapsed to mono without correcting for wobbly azimuth / channel alignment. Snippet has been bootlegged before, will it be longer than the one we have? I doubt it.

The best source for the demo is Entomology, and it's in pristine and vastly superior quality there. Looks like the SDE team used the same source that Coltturkey used for Home Demos, but IDK what that is.

Can someone share entomology?
Well if it's not as bad as IMM 1970 mix last year then that's something.

George's fake count-in on Taxman sounds phased, or given a weird stereo reverb? Don't like that much, and the double tracked lead vocal throughout sounds weird. Like not punchy. I like the placement of everything in the mix, but some levels don't seem "right" to me, though that could partly be from listening to the old mixes 1000 times. Going to have to listen some more.

I'm already looking forward to what you guys can do with the isolations from the Atmos mixes. I'm adjusting my expectations for the official release, though.

A stunning miss from the Beatles and Giles Martin. On the pre-order site comments....it is stunning how angry folks are at the lack of a blu-ray surround sound mix! If you have a 7.1 or 5.1 audio system this is an absolute slap in the face. Is there a way to get a true 5.1 surround sound mix now that can be run through a quality surround sound audio system? Not sure if someone smarter than I can find a way to convert the Atmos Apple Stream to a CD or DVD to play through a sound system? Why all the work in figuring how to demix the tracks learned from the Get Back sessions and then not use it to produce a top notch surround sound mix? I am so disappointed!! I suspect sales may suffer!!

Man, have things gotten this good?
If The Beatles have taught me anything...it is that we should only count our blessings and never our misfortunes.
Giles does have a function. He is going to teach us about his father. Making Beatles music isn't a flower that can be plucked.
It is a mountain that must be climbed. I wouldn't expect any new mix to sound right. If the new one is right it will reveal itself.
If only I had a dentist I could show how the Beatles never sacrificed more than REVOLVER made them. This album is a pure form of transcendence and it is amazing that they could cope with making it...or that they thought they needed to meditate! Very funny stuff!

So what's new for us on this new release? I've seen articles on wogew's blog about what were the unreleased stuff for Sgt Peppers, White Album, Abbey Road and Let It Be deluxe series, but haven't seen one for this. Wogew has a post about the recording sessions, but it doesn't clarify if there are some unbootlegged material.
