In Los Angeles, until Valentine's Day, 1987, there was a little station called KMET on 94.7 FM.
Little Bit Of Heaven 94.7, KMET, Tweedle-Dee
They used to play bumpers before and after songs which were emulations of the bands they featured, such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Cars, Yes, etc. Some of them were really cool. I'm looking for any and all of them. They are hard to come by as they are buried within broadcasts and airchecks. A tedious process to go through, to say the least. But since the station is no more, it'd be kinda cool to have these all in one place. I only have a few that I can find. Anyone got the collection? A collection? One?
The Beatles promo was an emulation of the end of SCITTBW.
Thanks,
-Ziggy

Re: 94.7 KMET Promos
Memory Lane is paved with Ferrous Oxide.
That is a great comp but nowhere near complete. Good luck in your efforts.
There was a shorter Stones one that went:
"WHOO-YA! K-M-E-T!! Shattered!!! Shadoobeee..."
That was a sad day when KMET got replaced by The Wave!
That was without warning and I have never been the same since...
Thank you.

Re: 94.7 KMET Promos
Archive dot org has a whole bunch of KMET on-air stuff, as in shows and such. There's bound to be some bumpers in there; kinda like panning for audio gold. The kick for me are the commercials. SO dated. Yet so cool. Certainly a time trip down the ol' rabbit hole.
