US Albums Upcoming, mastered from the original master.
Re: US Albums Upcoming, mastered from the original master.
Any chance of having scans of the text sheets that come with the albums?

Everything sounds good to me so far. Clean, flat discs. I as in no way expecting audiophile recordings, just clean transfers of the mono Capitol tapes and that’s what I got. Very happy with these. I may end up picking up Early Beatles after all.

Yeah it would be nice to see the images of the master tapes.
Hopefully someone can scan and post before filing away in storage. Given the size they would have to scan as multiple images and stitch together in Photoshop.
A good rip of the album would be nice of course so that at least we would have a good representation of the Capitol tapes.

Yes, but with the two-track stuff Capitol could at least tweak the music and vocal tracks independently.
It's extremely doubtful they just summed the L/R channels "as is" and called it done. The original "With the Beatles" mono mixes are solid mixes to begin with.

I can't comment on the music quality as I haven't played any of these as yet, but the Artwork on these albums is horrible. They look photo copied & they are too glossy unlike the originals. They could easily have done these with a paste over in a matt finish to make them look more original & a bit more nostaligic!
Plus a couple of mine had a lot of greasy fingerprints on the Vinyl, but at least all the bits were there, unlike some fans that had sleeves missing.
They must only do a quality check on the odd one or two nowadays!!!
