I downloaded and installed the demo but it won't run. Are you using it and are you happy with it?
I have been using Capstan for quite a while. I don't know about the current demo.

Here is an example of what I did with it:

Was the degradation part of the original? The speed correction sounds great but I'm hearing a lot of artifacts.

Here is the Badfinger demo I referenced earlier. Maybe you can fix it (if you have a mind to). It is just an MP3 and hasn't been cleaned up at all.

There's a wow and flutter plugin with Izotope which is better than Capstan. I got masterjedi to use it on a few of the BBC tracks and it worked great (not out of the box, mind you. We had to devise a workaround to make it optimal).

If you think you could fix the "Shine On" track then it might be usable for some future Badfinger project. Unfortunately, since it is a full-band recording, that limits its possible use, as opposed to a Ham demo.

This is what Capstan does. Not bad, because it is a tricky - low quality - original. Can be further improved in places, if you would spend more time finetuning.

Thanks, that's better. The actual original tape-to-digital copy is a WAV but I don't have that. I'll let the owner know, though, that there is hope it can be corrected.
