Does anyone know of a good and free De-Esser plugin and or even have one they could share?
I'm trying to remove some horrible sibilance in a vocal track but not having much luck with the Audacity plugin or EQ.
Thanks.

Re: Free De-Esser
Spitfish De-Esser is free and what I've used for years. Comes as a VST plugin.

Re: Free De-Esser
The vocals on Revolver are very sibilant on some tracks. I wonder if they changed vocal microphones for those sessions.
I tried the two on board de-essers in two of my DAWs and no go.
Anyways I've resorted to using a narrow filter in or around 8900 and up to 9200 hz depending on the song and that seems to tame the sssss.

What we do know is that they changed engineers. Maybe the wunderkind Geoff Emerick was still not on Norman Smith's level.
