Re: Posters, Incense and Strobe Candles
I just noticed that Yellow Dog has a version of this. Is the quality better?

This release is sourced from an acetate aired on WBCN recorded on tape by a listener. This release has dialogue from the DJ from it. There is other releases with this version.
Kum Back : Can be found on Archive.org. The first Beatleg ever produced.
Get Back To Toronto
Get Back (Lemon Records)
WBCN Get Back Reference Acetate : Has noise reduction.
Untouched - Off Electra Acetate
The WBCN Acetate : A restored version by MasterJedi.

That sounds really cool though to have an actual broadcast capture! I have a version without the dialogue. Does the version of Kum Back from Archive.org have the speed issues that were on the original release or has someone fixed them? Thanks for the info!moptophugger wrote: ↑Sun Aug 01, 2021 2:52 pm This release is sourced from an acetate aired on WBCN recorded on tape by a listener. This release has dialogue from the DJ from it. Dunno. The one on Archive.org is a "remastered" version but I don't have the original version though.

I never compared with the Yellow Dog version, but I think it is a remastered versio. Link valid for one week hxxps://we.tl/t-uhnjStjion
There are numerous versions of this broadcast, many referred to as "The Elektra Acetate".
I can send you what I have if you like.

Re: Posters, Incense and Strobe Candles
"Posters" is directly from a DAT of the original reel-to-reel. The Yellow Dog is inferior.
For the material itself, the "Elektra Acetate" is the best because it doesn't have the compression of the radio broadcast version, and is closer to the source. However, the CD itself has had noise reduction applied to it. If I remember correctly, Helter Skelter fiddled with it in an attempt to undo the damage.

So the Electra Acetate is better quality than Posters?Doug wrote: ↑Sun Aug 01, 2021 5:08 pm "Posters" is directly from a DAT of the original reel-to-reel. The Yellow Dog is inferior.
