On April 30, 2024 Duane Eddy passt away. He was 86 years old.
The Rebel-Rouser now twangs in heaven.

Great musical artist. I remember listening to an album of his, when I was quite young, that an older brother of mine owned.

When I was 8 years old my mum bought me a beaten up old record player from a jumble sale. I had two children's singalong records to play on it, until a neighbour gave me some old 45s he was throwing away. These consisted of "Hoots Mon" by Lord Rockingham's XI, "Return Of The Outlaws" by the Outlaws, and three classic singles by Duane Eddy - Rebel Rouser, Shazam, and Cannonball.
Those records changed my life - I must have played them a thousand times each.
