Hi
I was wondering if anyone has this song, Paul singing Help! with different words. This is from an old posting:

Here is the Beatles "I Gotta Get Out Of Here" (Paul's version of Help!):

hxxps://drive.google.com/file/d/18irgNaAZ5xEnigMRGvNbPsNTT0JvSiyI/view?usp=sharing

After listening to this and leaving my friend's house on foot back in the '70s I had to make my way home alone at night............

This is what I hear:

"I gotta get out of here, I gotta get out of here (alive)...

Whoa oh, whoa oh...
Yes they're out to get me I run hard
Running hard
Yes they're out to get me I run hard
Running hard
Yes they are, they're out to get me!

(unintelligible pleading)
Say yes

Yes they're out to get me I run hard
Running hard
Yes they're out to get me I run hard
Running hard
Running with my hands tied, they're out to get me!

...Say yes!"

Didn't songwriters used to play hits backwards trying to make new songs?

I would love to hear someone record this one as a real song! The structure holds up and it would be pretty effective!

My grandfayher was an electrician, and I am as well. I began my electrical "training" at around 7 years of age in 1972. My grandfather was an electronics tinkerer, who loved phonographs. He helped (Rather, I helped/watched him) rewire the motor of an old Emerson foldable, portable record player so that it could play in reverse. To accomplish this, the auto return gears had to be removed, but my records would indeed play in reverse. While backwards tracking by computer IS cool. it will never be as cool as slapping a disc on a turntable and watching with glee as it spun miraculous and bizarre sounds throughout the house. We played Carouso, SInatra, Beethoven and even Nelson Eddy and Janette MacDonald in reverse and I giggled unapologetically at the marvels we heard. I started hearing PEter Pan children's records, and eventualy everything I could spin backwards and forwards.

I wrote that! It's just Hello Goodbye played backwards. Very creepy.

You can flip it yourself in Audacity, etc.
