I think Biker Like an Icon is a murder ballad

Because of the last verse (and the fact that the biker doesn't like her):

"The family tried so hard to find her
They showed her picture 'cross America
But no trace of her sweet face was ever found,"

I think the girl was killed. I believe, if she'd lived, he would have ended with something less spooky. I only came to this point of view today. What do you think?
