Wouldn't the HörZu Magical Mystery Tour be a better source for this particular mix, as it is featured untrimmed there (i.e., it contains the full six-bar keyboard intro instead of the four-bar intro as per the US LP)?
hmm, I think you're right. The phasing of the vocal (especially around the 22 second mark) matches between the US stereo and German stereo versions, which is different from the 80s CD. But we have those extra bars elsewhere anyway, so I'll probably just leave it. Quite interesting discovery though!

Something I've always been confused about...
I've always though that Hey Bulldog was slightly sped-up (every version), like Here Comes The Sun (I have perfect pitch, so I'm usually very precise  ).

What do you think?
Well, I think you're right. The individual tracks are at the released speed, which seems fine IMO. I'm sure it was easier for csnyfan to sync the different sources by keeping the released speed.

Alright, thanks for the (possible) explanation.
You know, the Here Comes The Sun outtakes (and reconstructions) posted on the old Bootlegzone by csnyfan had the correct speed, so I though it might just have been an oversight not to correct the ones of Hey Bulldog.

Horzu has the 'normal' mix also featured on the '87, '93 (Blue) and '09 CD's. Both it and the original UK stereo mix featured on the EP have the 6 beat intro. UK Mono, US Stereo and US Mono feature the 4 beat trimmed version. The US Mono Single (not the album) has the extra bar before "yellow matter custard", US Rarities 'imitated' this by reinserting it in the stereo mix (same way they replicated the promo single for Penny Lane).
I used to think the same thing, until I read in an updated version of Brennan's variations list that it's actually a different mix to the standard CD version and the same as the US stereo mix, but untrimmed.

The main difference I could notice is that the drums go quiet before the line "I'm crying".

The version you're talking about is the mono mix with an extra bar before the line "Yellow matter custard", which the US rarities mix tried to recreate in stereo.

I should have added I was basing my statements on Doug Sulpy's 910 Vol 16 nr 1-2 issue on Magical Mystery Tour from 2017 where discusses the variations. Him being quite an authority on the subject it's quite puzzling that the updated Brennan now suddenly shows something different about a mix that has been in existence for so long. But also checking maul's The Complete Studio & Home Recordings it seems to confirm this, US LP and Horzu both have RS6+7, not the RS25+RS7.

Yes, basing on Winn, Brennan (and listening) I piece together the whole thing like that:
and it seems that all fit (note that this topic is so confused that also Purple Chick made some mistakes on IATW remixes :D )

Thank you very much for all of these, i have just discovered the whole bunch few days ago. I really like it.

Listening to the Vol 12 i have discovered that the tracks 18,19,20,24 are lossy. So i have tried to make it a bit better and remastered those 4 working with Spectral Recovery (iZotope RX 10). Check it out......

"Song For Mary Bee" is Donovan's "Peregrine" (from "Hurdy Gurdy Man") with added lyrics. In Donovan's autobiography, he says that George recorded an instrumental version of "Peregrine" while in India. This is presumably what he's singing to in his one-off audio letter to Mary Bee.
