Trying to find a John Lennon interview

Post by Mr Bump »

Hi - I wonder if anyone here can help.

At the start of 1969 John Lennon did an interview in which he said the Beatles were losing money and if it carried on, they would go broke in six months. This was the interview which got the attention of Allen klein.

The interviewer was with Ray Coleman and his article was printed in the music paper, Disc And Music Echo, I think on 18 January 1969.

Does anyone know where I can see or hear the interview, or does anyone have a copy of the article they could share? Any format, image file, anything - just wanting to find out what else John Lennon said.

Thanks.

Thanks. That's the one, alright. I think they dated it wrong though. It's low-res, but I can just about make out some of it - useful to have. Cheers.

From everything I've read, the actual interview took place on the 13th, but the paper was published on the 18th. The website may have just accidentally conflated the two.
