Re: A Beatles record collection / Beatles with records
Sorry, must have missed it. There´s so much to see and fail to see in this Forum, it´s unbelievable.[flabbyroad] wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2023 5:06 pm MontyBeaton, I edited the first post; Safe as Milk and Electonic Music are all ready in the collection.

I definitely have to improve my searching and posting skills.
Nothing more boring than an endless repetition of one and the same thing.
Sorry again and thanks for all the stuff.

Trouttakes?
Safe as Walrus Milk?
Stay away from Frownland!
Check the last version of TMask Replica. (Safe As Milk bumper sticker seems lofi)
I'm just glad Van Vleit wasn't on the Doonesbury Road!
Fash-N-Chaps w/ molt vinegar! Decal Lickin' won't be anything Wendy Winters could ever want to play...
Let's just eat spaghetti and maybe the Wally Rus can manatee up to the kippered herring that it loves so much.
Tuna my piano but don't tune my fish! No gillnets were harmed!
Thanks...I couldn't find my picture of PMc wearing the fish mask! I can't remember where(ebay?) for the tusky papier mache mask.
You know you make me want to trout...throw my head back. Very finny!

Re: A Beatles record collection / Beatles with records
Is it possible to add the music they were inspired by, because, obviously, they owned these records?
Like a SubGenre to this very cool "The Beatles With Records", just with the names of the composers/musicians the FAB talked about and maybe a photo of the record cover, if specified by the FAB?
I know some very nice "Jukebox"-lists for every Beatle from the net, but these lists are at the same time like an "Oldies but Goldies" parade, cool and quite obvious, where the mentioning of "The Fugs" is the real surprising highlight.
I like it very much that Paul and John talked about Stockhausen, if i remember well. And John Cage.
In case of Stockhausen I would not wonder if it might be "Kontakte/Gesang der Jünglinge".
And of course there´s "Freak Out!" by Frank Zappa.
As a dedicated follower of Zappa (too) I´m of course super-happy that "Sgt. Pepper" was in very ways influenced by Zappa´s so-called first concept-album ever. It´s a compliment to both Albums "Freak Pepper!" "Lonely Hearts Out!"
Just listen to the end of "Lovely Rita". Paul´s Rita is Zappa´s Suzy.
And Barry Miles said that the unreleased "Carnival Of Light" (from the Pepper-Era) might only be compared to "Help, I´m A Rock!".
And further on "Sgt. Pepper´s" iconic gigantic fantastic wonderful Record-Cover was influenced/inspired by Zappa´s "Freak Out! - List" inside his album (where Brian Epstein is also mentioned)
I´m one the 5000 Lord Reith talked about. I want to know.
A SugGenre (in Yellow Letters please, like "The Yellow SubGenre") would be wonderful with all the discoveries to come.
THANK YOU!!!
(P.S.: I´m also happy that i discoverd that Zappa, when asked what his favorite Record of the year 1966 is, answered "Revolver".)

Let us speak of practical thinking!MontyBeaton wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 7:02 pm Is it possible to add the music they were inspired by, because, obviously, they owned these records?
What's in a read?
Like from left to right-----> BANG! BANG!-----> Stuart Sutcliffe-----> Sonny Liston!
The Plaster Casters---------------------------------------------------------->Jimi Hendrix
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------->Gail Zappa!!!
Over the MOON?
Absolutely FREEVOLVER!
The cut out sheet for money should have been a lock of Jimi's atomic mushroom cloud
and a Marshall stack!
But, Zappa wasn't even hip to Herb Cohen. CIA Plant??? SINK-clavier symphonics!
Credibility DESTROYED with two Laurel Canyon mailboxes!
Rest on that!
Godot folklore!
Pandora's Box Of Byrds/crabs/sunsets and Derek Taylor!
Wake UP Francis...Alice Cooper is NEVER going to belong near Fischer!
Glen Buxton ENVY!!!
Peace, and Money...and agency biz!
LookOut Mountain and Wonderland Avenue?
now THAT even sounds MILITARY!
Market? Fernwood in Topanga!
Love Street is PHONY!

on a first look
but then make me realize that it´s all the 27 Books I read and 2 TV shows I saw about the music and people i love so much.
All that perfectly disguised as a DADA-DOT on screen.
I love to give it the title:
Passing By Polanski´s House Not Knowing Side Three
(Cooper did not kill the chicken. Fischer would. A Turkey is another bird. Not only in Toronto.)
Thank You!!!!!

Re: A Beatles record collection / Beatles with records
Since I read now (why now?) the subtext of this Video it clearly cannot be the Harry Smith Tape from 1972. (But it was a cool re-listen). Must be an interview between end of September ´69 and very early January ´70.
