Oh, that´s sad news...
Caught him with the All Starrs on their 2011 Brazilian tour... It was so great. He was elegant and cheerful. I loved his set.

Re: Gary Wright R.I.P
Gary worked long and hard and not even Beatles connections could help him.
But, he was very much a staple of any self-respecting player in a textile print and platform shoes.
Musk by Jovan...Sex Appeal by Jovan...Music by Gary Wright...
Dream Weaver and Love Is Alive were basically a A/B tandem maneuver to dominate 1975 Airwaves for the last gasp of the American Dream. By the time Gary relinquished the top 40 back to obscurity, The Highest Standard of American-Dream living will be OVER! Nobody knew. Leisure suits and polyester, in general, would be next to go!
Good job, Gary!
That was only yesterday!
Thank you, Sire!

Re: Gary Wright R.I.P
I remember the melody (very Lennonish) of A Salty Dog (such a great album); the haunting piano; the lyrics which reminds me Rudger Hauer monologue in Blade-Runner. It turns out that the Earth is maybe not the funniest place on earth to listen to some good music by great artists/bands.
Maybe I didn't take my ticket so far and I'm still here because there is Paul and Ringo
