Paul McCartney and Wings
Live in the Seattle Kingdome
Seattle, Washington, USA
June 10th, 1976
Multi Track/Soundboard/Audience Merge
Sound Quality: A+/A-/B-/C+
Attendance: 67,000+
This historic Wings show is probably the most important gig of the solo Paul canon, this show was the show that proved how Paul and Wings had finally found big success in the USA, being the crowning jewel of the Wings Over America Tour, this show at the enormous Kingdome at Seattle had an incredible attendance of 67,000+, breaking The Beatles’ record at the Shea Stadium in New York 11 years prior, this show definitely deserves its reputation, as it’s a fantastic night for everyone, Paul sounds pretty strong and does some gutsy note choices throughout, the band is in great shape and playing their asses for the amazing crowd, this is definitely what i’d call a S tier gig for Wings, this merge ranges from 2 below average audience recordings to pro shot audio, this show was featured in “Rockshow” so the video quality is of course fantastic, plus a bootleg video that circulates of two thirds of the show, sadly both encores are missing from the audience sources of this gig, so we only have snippets of “Hi Hi Hi”, which i’ve synced to audio from the show in Denver on June 7th, enjoy!

you give way to much respect to the king dome show "the most important gig of the solo Paul canon"
you need to rethink that a lot.
It seems that not all of Rockshow is from Seattle

Honestly Seattle deserves it, it's a fantastic performance and definitely their most iconic show

and Rockshow comes mainly from the second Inglewood gig, with some songs coming from the third Inglewood gig, Seattle and the second night in New York City

Thanks, your crossfades were very well done but have you tried lining up complete alternate sources with each other for a multitrack surround experience (or at least a more full stereo mix)?
I did this with some of Paul's Japan shows (posted elsewhere on the forum) and the various recordings working together really livened up the shows.

Old analog tapes is hard to make matrix, I thinkalphabeatles wrote: ↑Sun May 29, 2022 4:23 pm Thanks, your crossfades were very well done but have you tried lining up complete alternate sources with each other for a multitrack surround experience (or at least a more full stereo mix)?

Oh I agree! I tried with a couple versions of a song from this Seattle show and it got close, but not quite... Too much editing needed. Digital sources are much more a joy to work with!blackbird wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 12:18 pmOld analog tapes is hard to make matrix, I thinkalphabeatles wrote: ↑Sun May 29, 2022 4:23 pm Thanks, your crossfades were very well done but have you tried lining up complete alternate sources with each other for a multitrack surround experience (or at least a more full stereo mix)?

If anyone has suggestions for syncing analog audio in a DAW, please tell!
