I still can't believe any production company would wipe their investment for the price of the medium.
To be fair, the business has come a long way since then.

Now they just incinerate their investments wholesale.

No TV company in the world has ever kept everything that was broadcast, in fact the vast majority hold only a small amount of shows before the 70's & 80's. TV (and radio) was though of as disposable. The BBC in particular get a lot of flack about this, but the cost of videotape, unions and storage all played their part in the destruction of material. We can see with hindsight the worth of these things, but there were short windows allowed for repeats by the unions, and NO home video market.

Can you imagine the size of warehouse required to house every single broadcast ever made on either 16mm / 35mm film or 2 inch videotape.

Let's not knock companies for not being able to see into the future.

(One large company's inability to store priceless masters in a flammable building with no fire protection is something different entirely of course. - Especially as there was form - The Atlantic vault that held all their session tapes burnt down in the 70's! - One of many horror stories)

People often are extremely critical of the BBC for chucking out all the old Doctor Who eps etc, but it is rather important to remember when they were made they had 'rights' to air them once and one repeat within two years of the original broadcast, so without a new rights agreement, why would they keep them at all.

Thank you, kindly

I'm extracting songs by the artists/Band, like for an example I have approx.,
50 Minutes of Cilla Black, includes 1965 Sat. Club that was posted last year
Swinging Blue Jeans, also 50 minutes,
until the 'BBC Top Of The Pops Radio Shows' come around
The Searchers are now 34 tracks 1:07 minutes [1 hr. 7 minutes]
I'm including songs from the LR BBC Sets, of these & other artists/bands
Tony Rivers & The Castaways & Harmony Grass [only 3 shows, so far]
The Searchers, 2 CD Set, I have does not have the 'Pop Go The Beatles' Versions

If we'd had the missing shows, the song list would be bigger for each artists involved

Speaking of BBC I have 4 songs by Graham Bond from the 4 CD set

is dated 17 July 1963 for Pop Go The Beatles, not 2 July 1963

01-I Got A Woman [1963-07-02 'Pop Go the Beatles' 05]
02-Cabbage Greens [1963-07-02 'Pop Go the Beatles' 05]
03-I Saw Her Standing There [1963-07-02 'Pop Go the Beatles' 05]
04-Spanish Blues [1963-07-02 'Pop Go the Beatles' 05]

Note, the actual date is 2 July 1963 for Pop Go The Beatles #05', which we have already
The CD set that these song are on, has the wrong date, unless you have Lord Reith's BBC Set

Thanks to Rusty, Lord Reith for track 1, & the official CD, for the last 2 tracks,

I have 34 tracks, I added the Gerry Marden introducing 'From Me To You', in 1963

& added 'How Do You Do It' & 'You'll Never Walk Alone' from John Peel 1973

Got most of the recording dates, & added the Top Of The Pops Episode Numbers & dates

Change 'hxxp' to 'http'

98 of 99 tracks are from Lord Reith's sets

I forget where the Cilla Black 1965 track came from, here, & whom

There were the Beatles' Guest Artists, &
I tried to delete the records when played
most were from Saturday Club 1965 5th Birthday, & From Us To You #3

I re-did the Various 1961-08-12 Saturday Club Reel 1 [BBC Radio],

Used Cool Edit 2.1 to split each track, taken around 3 hours

66 tracks in all...Cliff Bennett & The Rebel Rousers played 7 songs...483MB

hxxps://drive.google.com/file/d/1Yfrpnc3yHDbjQTleK55izhjcs9Q2MoA3/view?usp=sharing

There are several Top Of The Pops that the songs need to be properly split,
instead of One to Four track for each episode

Next one, I need to do, & upload here
Various 1966-08-06 Saturday Club Part 1 [BBC Radio]
