I felt it should be noted here that this week, Lamont Dozier sadly passed away.
One third of the classic Holland-Dozier-Holland team, his list of hits is long, practically defining the Motown sound in the 1960s and giving even Lennon-McCartney a run for their money.
Sad news, brilliant legacy. Rest in peace, Lamont.
