Best audio converter? A must have question.

Post by Liverpools Boy »

Ok there's another to the archive.

What's the best, intuitive, etc software to convert an audio file to another to home use, for example. Please keep in mind aspects like the kind of files the quantity, quality, etc of the files and the convertion per se.

Many of us get strange type audios, product of trades many times. But what is the most easy way to convert to our private use files.

I used Any Audio Converter (Anvsoft) but now that everybody uses Windows 10 -me included- I can't install so, I need alternatives, many thanks in advance.

Personally, for many years I have been using the lightweight AIMP program for listening as well as all kinds of format conversion and tagging
https://portableapps.com/apps/music_video/aimp-portable
or
https://aimp.ru
AIMP is a safe, user-friendly, recommendable, free, full-featured software that works min. both on Windows 10 (32, 64), Windows 11 (32, 64)

I think that AIMP  is a good option, simple, easy but fast and reliable

I've used X Audio for longer than I can remember.

It's free (donation suggested) and does everything I've ever asked of it.

Hi. I don't want to open a new thread so I'm asking here.
I have some 24/96 flac files and was thinking of converting them all to 16/44. Is it worth it? I mean, do I lose or distort anything by doing this?
I've read that there's not much difference between 24/96 and 16/44, but I don't know if by converting I'm ruining the file or something.
Thanks!
