Just don't pay for it! Flac stands for "Free Lossless Audio Codec" and any software that makes you pay for it is a contradiction in terms. I'm constantly amazed by how much paid software is actually just a slight rejig of freeware. MP3 converters are another gravy train for some companies. There is no reason in heaven or hell why someone should have to pay for something that converts to mp3.

It's called sly marketing:
- if it's free it's dodgy or you have to pay to ulock all the bells and whistles
- BUT if you pay for it it's guaranteed to work better and you get support too.

Re: Programs to convert flacs etc.
In my opinion, Aimp works best. A small, light, free program that, in addition to the player function, has two brilliant modules: an audio converter that supports many formats, and a tag editor. I've been using it for many years and it has never let me down. I recommend.tammytingles wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 1:46 am Howdy,
I'm a premium member of 123apps, which up until recently has been a great program for converting flacs, wavs etc.
It seems the site has crashed and been abandoned. Could I please get some recommendations for any programs that
could replace it. I don't mind subscription or paid sites, so long as you can do batch conversions etc.
Any guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks so much.
