eTorrent Issues?

This may be off base, but I want to know from others about which version of eTorrent they are using. I had read something a long while ago that newer versions were problematic for unspecified reasons, so as a result, I've resisted updating the version I'm using. Has anyone had issues with eTorrent? If so, are the issues addressed by older (or even newer) versions? Thanks in advance for any guidance you can offer!

I use qBittorrent. It's open-source, free, and multi-platform.
