I just delete anything like hxxps:// my browser (Chrome) opens what I need automatically. And if it doesn't, only then I have to look why (happens very rarely).

For example:

hxxp://www.beatlesdb.com
I've noticed that too, and it seems to only work for the www subdomain. For example...

hxxp://forum.beatlegdb.com
hxxp://ftp.beatleg.com
hxxp://beatlegdb.com
hxxp://www.beatlegdb.com

It's a silent 'K'...KNOB. Not NOB.
