Hi all,
Wondering if any one has any copies of the Maxwell Edison Records label releases (or *is* MER, if they are here)...
Particularly looking for:
George Martin - Ode To An Oboe Player (Upgraded Version)
The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour Songtrack
and
The Threetles - Threetlemania! With The Threetles
Would dearly appreciate any help!
All the best!

Maxwell Edison Records: Magical Mystery Tour Songtrack

This is the first of a series of "Collected and Incomplete" titles in the Maxwell Edison Records catalog. After downloading, check the "Extras" folder--if you can identify any of the "Unknown Artist" tracks from the film, let me know and maybe we can search them out and add them to this collection!
Though called "Magical Mystery Tour Songtrack," this single disc works more like the original "Yellow Submarine" album or the American versions of "A Hard Day's Night" and "Help!". It's the 2012 Blu-Ray remixes of the Magical Mystery Tour soundtrack, edited as needed so that they have clean beginnings and ends (no dialogue or sound effects from the film). The rest of the disc is made up of nearly all the incidental music used in the film, also sans film dialogue and sound effects.
"The Magical Mystery Tour soundtrack was originally released as a double EP in Britain, including only six of the Beatles' compositions heard in the film. When expanded to an LP for the American market, the remainder was filled out with then-recent singles, most of which had nothing to do with the movie.
"Here, for the first time, is an attempt to catalog in their proper running order all recordings heard in the 1967 Beatles film Magical Mystery Tour, whether performed by The Beatles or performed by someone else. As a bonus, songs originally left on the cutting room floor are also included in this compilation, including performances by Traffic, Ivor Cutler, and Shirley Evans. Though many Beatles fans will be familiar with this material through repeated viewings of Magical Mystery Tour, this is the first time they have ever been compiled and heard in this form before."

Re: REQ: Maxwell Edison Records
I can help with the George Martin set. I'm not 100% sure if it is the upgraded one, though. Is there an easy way to tell?
And in the end, the love you make is equal to the love you take.

Thank you so much!!!!
I don't know how to differentiate the Martin sets as I lost the new one and BZ is down; truthfully I mostly listen to the Produced By... box, but I wanted to collect or collate the MER sets because they are so beautifully put together!
Again, huge thanks!

Re: REQ: Maxwell Edison Records
I recall the original George Martin set credited the Help! soundtrack pieces to Martin, and that was corrected for the 2nd version.
