At least in my set up, I can hear the difference, in sound, plus more accurate from analog rips
I'm saying this in the future, not now!
I love to see the Japan LP Collection, in the same manner has what Vee Jay has done with his Vinyl Rips
Both CD & 24/96
Same with Tape Rip...MFSL...I have some Vinyl Rips in 24/96, not none of the tapes, yet

it's kind of funny going for 24/96 when the MFSL cassettes were made from (at best) 48k digital dubs from the master tapes
I think the most important thing would be the quality of the cassette deck used and how well it's set up/maintained.
That said the 24/96 transfer is better to listen too than the other one
there should also be a tiny little bit of mains hum audible in between the last three tracks on the magical mystery tour cassette tape
i think they just dubbed in the last three tracks from the uk tape and kept the rest from when they did the capitol tape ,as the I am the walrus on the MFSL cassette is the USA version.and they had very slight hum problems when they did the box set transfers.
