MP3J "WTF 80" - Mashups and Remixes

Post by MP3J »

Image

For those here who don't know, i make (mostly) Beatle related mashups and remixes, and have done with varying amounts of skill and success since 2004 :D

This is volume 80, i hope you like what you hear. If not, thanks for trying.

If people like this type of thing here, i'll post some older ones, which originally appeared at places like Get Your Bootleg On, Bootlegzone, BeatlesRemixers, MP3J Facebook, etc etc.
I gave up listing sources many years ago... because 1. I'm lazy, 2. I'm forgetful. 3. I'm lazy.
Please don't bother asking for Lossless copies because they don't exist. I take whatever sources i find and use them....that may be Vinyl, CD, FLAC, mp3, or even recording direct from Youtube etc. For these 59 year old abused ears mp3 is fine. Thanks for listening.
At Bootlegzone i kept all my mixes in one thread....is that useful here? Or should i post a new thread for each new volume?

wow! just discovered "Watching The Wheels" - reggae dub Part One of this set.
well, you succeed in making the reggae track that Lennon always failed to achieved (Living On Borrowed Time despite Lennon's rastamuffin instructions to the band, playing Bob Marley "before he lost it", the reggae bridge of Mind Games which - according to Lennon - the band did not understand, even Watching The Wheels had this reggae-rhythm (you can tell, by listening to the 5.1 isolations of John Lennon DVD) during the chorus).

I would be VERY very curious to know which backing track you used.
And if this would be possible to get it in FLAC.

Did you use one of those MCRT take of Watching The Wheels (there's another one mixed from multitrack with early vocals, but a lot of MCRT recorded by Jack Douglas)

It was this....
i just got rid of the vocal and overlaid the standard John vocal (isolated)

...you're lucky! that track was made 11 months ago, i'm staggered i remembered

well, it's a great remix! but John saying "testing... testing" comes from one of those Bermudas demos ?
is there a way you could share this great remix in FLAC format via dropbox or wetransfer ?
