My favourite thing on the Revolver SDE is the cute take 5 of AYBCS with the "ahhhh"s that got the axe on the final take. So I'm putting them back in again!

Excellent job LR, but the added harmonies sound a little bit low in the mix to me.
Keep up the great work!

Interesting experiment. I understand MrBeatleg's point though.
I'm away from home for a couple of days so I don't have all my Beatle resources with me, but were the guitar solos overdubbed AFTER they decided nix the ahh harmonies? If not, the mixing here might've been problematic. In true 1966 fashion, I wonder if this might sound more effective if the guitar solos weren't mixed so prominently to the center. What if the guitar solos were, say, on the left channel?

You're probably right. My hunch is that if they decided to keep the harmonies, they would've either have done something with the mixing to accommodate both the guitar parts and the harmonies. Or they would've slated in something different, guitar-wise, for that interval.
But yeah, as neat as those harmonies are, you can understand why they were not included in the final mix.
