From Hero-to-ZERO in only two minutes and twenty one seconds.
It sounds better than ever...but, it is self deflating after 2:30.
This only serves to cause flash erosion of the greatness found in it's first two minutes!
Paul never thinks like this and his songs typically chase me away before the overdue ending arrives!
He has great talents but...NO watch, clock, sundial...
So, maybe it drove him away before he could release it.
If that was a Desmond Dekker tune, it would be 1:54 with the oil-drum intro.
Thank you, Appleyard!

Thank you Kwai. I love your poetic evaluations. You are absolutely right, of course. A wonderful song that unfortunately outstays its welcome. An earlier fade out, perhaps, although I'm in heaven a little longer than 2.30!
Will be interesting to see how long it is in the Superdeluxe release we're all waiting for.
Cheers, mate!
