That beastie boys mix was cool!!, do you have more mixes with the b-boys??
As a (60th!!!!) birthday treat to myself I'm reposting these old mixes.
These are some of my own personal favourites.
They are BEASTLES (Beastie Boys v The Beatles).
A Bostonian called DJ BC first came up with the idea, but others including myself have used the pairing too.
I was a member of the old mashup community "Get Your Bootleg On" forum back in 2004 when DJ BC posted his original set of tracks.
They went viral and caused quite a stir. He followed those up with a further set in 2006.
His last set "Ill Submarine" came after a longish break in 2013.
DJ BC approached the concept leaning towards the Beastie Boys, whereas my own sets are more Beatles orientated.
I first put these 3 collections out in 2013 and again in 2017 with a little adjustment here and there, these are those sets.
Some of the tracks pre-date 2013.....such as the opener in Vol.1 which i made in 2007....pre Rockband/Moggs, and I could listen to forever and a day!
