Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (US Stereo) (2022) (2017) (Remix) (24-48)

This is "yours truly" remix/remaster based on the 2017 remix of Sgt. Pepper. One of the main criticisms of the official release is the mastering being overly compressed. My release improves this using RELIFE by Terry West, so please review the DR ratings below -

DR Official Blu-ray release - DR8
My release - DR10

This one is good for 6 days ...

Other differences to this remaster are the use of the US album cover art along with the elimination of the dog whistle & run out groove. Also, the Anthology DVD mix of "A Day In The Life" has replaced the 2017 mix since the panning of the original mix is so iconic. Some precise editing of the "ADITL" mix was required since the Anthology remix was incomplete. Also, the McCartney middle section was way too loud IMO on the Anthology mix and has been adjusted accordingly.

Enjoy! P.S. (RU ready for MMT?)

I did download this, because it's free you know ;-)

Thanks again for your work!

PS: Saying "US Stereo" in this case doesn't make sense, since the 2017 SDE didn't have a Capitol-specific release, yes? That's usually what "US Stereo" means (to me anyway).

Please read the above carefully. The US release of Sgt. Pepper was only different via the front cover album art and the absence of the dog whistle and run out groove! This is simply a recreation of the US release using the 2017 remix!

OK I see... So art and minor edits, some remaster but not really remixed ;-)

I'm curious what your interest is in the US market versions?

To date I'm mainly used to people ripping US vinyl due to its uniqueness. Otherwise the UK versions are the flagship.

Again, no huge deal, just trying to understand what you're presenting.

See Lord Reith's liner notes for the type of info I'm after.

For those who don't really care, enjoy the tunes! They sound great.

PS: Some others have also attempted to de-master this album (with results slightly different from yours, so that's good for variation):

•2017 Classical Master [volume-reduced], TOUP
•2017 de-Martin'ed mix, RalseiDeltarune 2022
•Free Connoisseur

Hi alphabeatles,

My interest in the US market is due to being a first generation US fan. My first Beatles album in the winter of 1964 was the "Ad Back" stereo "Introducing The Beatles." Still have Ver 1, but it is worn out but still in my possession. Also have a 2nd gen Butcher!

My dad was great and took us to see the Beatles at Crosley Field, August 20, 21 in Cincinnati, OH. I was 12 just short of my 13th birthday. The concert was rained out on Saturday the 20th, but saw the Beatles perform the 21st in the afternoon. The show was short, which was normal. Looking back, the Cyrcle "Red Rubber Ball" was maybe the best performance, but will never admit it (ha! ha! guess I just did). The Beatles themselves appeared to be burnt out - except for Paul (Paul is always a showman).

I'm not familiar with the ones mentioned below. However. my remaster via RELIFE works for me, so not interesting in pursuing any others at this time (subject to change) -

•2017 Classical Master [volume-reduced], TOUP
•2017 de-Martin'ed mix, RalseiDeltarune 2022
•Free Connoisseur

Check out my avatar -"The Bombers" were a garage band during the late 60's playing at college fraternity parties, etc. What a blast!! I played rhythm guitar and vocals. The bass player, in the avatar center, John Heinrich, is an accomplished musician - steel guitar & sax - currently playing with the Ronnie Milsap band and as a Nashville session player.

Regards,

Thanks, cool story! Great that you got to see the Beatles live!

As for Ronnie Milsap, back in '97 I had just left Ocean Way Studios in Nashville (I had done some photos of Faith Hill recording for them and was probably dropping them off) and Ronnie was coming in the back. I saw him but he didn't see me-! ;-)

Ronnie Milsap played at the Isleta Casino south of Albuquerque several years ago. John Heinrich introduced myself, wife and son to Ronnie with photos. This was the last time I saw John.

Small world!
