Yes I listened to AiTE's version and I liked it. It has some nice vocal harmonies and George-ish guitar. Kind of like what a Threetles version might have sounded like!

I will do a version of my own after I finish updating Abracadabra 1 and 2, which should be within the next few days.

Thank'ee to the Good Lord for his very kind words.

OK, so.. here is a link to the recording of my attempt at GOWM.

hXXps://we.tl/t-26TRZSAGYQ
(usual XX rules etc...)
Available for 7 days, though I might delete it sooner.

I chose to just drop it here, as I don't really want to draw too much attention to it by starting up a new thread.

It was hastily recorded at a time that my wife was about to have life saving throat operations, so was very apt for what we were about to be going through. It was only meant "for us", so I share it here with a little embarrassment and trepidation.

It was knocked together very quickly, certainly no more than a couple of hours. I hope you like the attempt (I also incorporated a George solo, see if you recognise where it's from).

Please DO NOT share this ANYWHERE as I don't want any issues to fall out of this "remake".

Thanks guys.

Nice job, AndInTheEnd, I like it very much. The solo is taken from "That's The Way It Goes", isn't it?

Yep, well spotted 8-)

Glad you liked it. I thought the solo shoe-horned in quite well. Would've done it better if only I'd had more time though. But hey ho...

Wow, lots of great responses. Thank you everyone, I am deeply humbled by all your comments 🥰.

A couple of years ago, I finished a ten year long project using musicians around the world to recreate the first 4 sides of George's "All Things Must Pass", album, which was sold with all profits going to George's Material World Charitable Fund. We raised a nice amount in the end... and we got copies out there in time for the original 50th anniversary!!

I won't clog up this thread about it, but if anyone wants to hear more, please send me a PM and I'll put together a sample of what we did and send a link.

Thank you all AGAIN. It's so lovely to hear you liked my take on GOWM!

Now... it's back to Lord Reith and his fabulous offerings!!

AiTE 👍👍👍👍
