SON OF ZUBE! (Hey Zube 2022)
This is a completely remixed and revised edition of one of my old titles "Hey Zube". The mixing style is mostly similar to Abracadabra Vol.1 where voices, bass and drums are in the centre and other instruments are off to the side, but with greatly improved separation, dynamics and clarity thanks to the latest demixing algorithms.
Three tracks (20, 39 and 43) have been newly created by spectrally erasing the overdubs. I've done this before, but more successfully here. I wasn't able to get a satisfactory result on A Taste Of Honey but who knows, maybe one day.
Three others (25, 26 and 28) have been rebuilt by isolating the overdubs from the delta mono and adding them to the original undubbed takes. These are new.
When these tracks were recorded, they mixed them in both mono and stereo simultaneously. However the stereo mixes had vocal reverb added to the left channel, probably to make the awkward placement of the vocals on the right less annoying. Since that doesn't apply here (the voices being in the centre) I've dispensed with this reverb and created what I guess you'd call "delta stereo" versions. This makes the vocals sound a lot closer up and more arresting, and on some tracks like Misery, Do You Want To Know A Secret, Anna and Chains you should notice the effect most. Hey, who among us doesn't want to get closer to the Beatles? Well, here's your chance!
You'll note the piano/cleste versions of Misery and Baby It's You are missing, but that's because they were done on a different day. You'll find those other two tracks on the upcoming Abracadabra V1 revamp.
Enjoy!

Re: SON OF ZUBE! (Hey Zube 2022)
Thanks a lot - looking forward to listen. I love to think of ABRACADABRA as a dynamic developing present that we can look forward to in new versions every year, rather than a static installment from last year!
Edit: Have now enjoyed the thing - love the clearness/separation and very much the minus reverb - the Beatles really get closer!
