She Loves You/I'll Get You in Stereo
She Loves You/I’ll Get You in Stereo
The following remixes were done with the aid of the RipX Deep Remix software as referenced in Mixerrog's recent post
She Loves You
This is a tricky one to do a decent stereo mix with. Unison voices all being the same pitch are impossible to separate, and because the vocals in the song alternate between unison singing in the choruses and (mostly) harmony singing in the verses, the end result is a little disjointed.
Instrumentation is as follows:
Drums (Left)
Bass (Centre)
Guitar Fills (Centre)
Rhythm Guitar (Right)
In an ideal world, I’d have put the drums in the centre and the fills on the left, but this ends up with the song with no instrumentation on the left except for the occasional fills, so it sounds a bit unbalanced. Additionally, it was difficult to cleanly isolate the fills, so it was better to bury them in the centre.
Vocals
Unison vocals were placed in the centre, with solo John slightly to the left of the drums and harmony Paul to the right of the rhythm guitar.
I was able to separate the three vocals on the final “yeah”. Not sure who’s where but I *think* John’s on the left, Paul’s on the right, and George is in the centre.
I suspect the basic track was drums, bass, and rhythm, with George’s fills and the vocals as overdubs. I only hear one rhythm guitar and no evidence of George playing except for the lead fills.
I’ll Get You
Another tricky one, with the main issue being the difficulty in cleanly isolating the harmonica and guitar. I ended up putting them both on the right, and the drums on the left. In an ideal world I’d have put the harmonica and guitar on opposite sides, but it sounded horrible.
Instrumentation
Drums (Left)
Bass (Centre)
Guitar (Right)
Harmonica (Right)
I only hear one guitar.
Vocals
Unlike She Loves You, I’ll Get You has a definite John lead vocal (double tracked) so I’ve put that in the centre. Paul’s occasional harmony vocal is on the right, and George’s vocal part (which appears only in the middle eight) is on the left. It was difficult to isolate George’s vocal, so it’s a bit fragmented.
I hope you like them!

Well, I'm enjoying the results! It's fantastic to hear. If I may ask, which record/CD did you source the songs from? Thanks for the experiment! I hope in future versions of RipX you'll get better results.

Thanks for your de/re-mixes!
Listening to Paul on SLY, I have an idea for somebody:
Take only Paul's isolated harmonies from each song and make a collection called "The High Road"...
