Past Masters, Volume 1 - Remixed and Remastered

Post by Hummus905 »

The Beatles
Past Masters, Volume 1 Remixed and Remastered

Method: AI Stems + AI Mastering
Project completed November 19, 2021

Tracklist:
1. Love Me Do (original single version)
2. From Me To You
3. Thank You Girl
4. She Loves You
5. I'll Get You
6. I Want To Hold Your Hand
7. This Boy
8. Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand
9. Sie Liebt Dich
10. Long Tall Sally
11. I Call Your Name
12. Slow Down
13. Matchbox
14. I Feel Fine
15. She's A Woman
16. Bad Boy
17. Yes It Is
18. I'm Down

All tracks remixed and remastered from the 2009 24-bit remaster. Tracks 1, 4, and 5 are originally mono, but remixed into stereo here.

It is really nice to hear the early material in consistent stereo with a clean remix. Interestingly, the German backing tracks are often cleaner that the originals. I tried placing the English vocals over the German-version instruments, but the songs are played at different speeds! Ah well.

Enjoy!

Thanks Hummus905 for all your recent uploads - I just finished downloading and look forward to listening. WTB, RS and White A still missing, right? Or did I overlook them?

Thanks for this.

I'm confused on what you mean by "AI Mastering", but it sounds nice.
Interested in any/all Bootlegs. Sometimes I make my own.

I perform all mixing myself from AI-generated stems (vocals, bass, guitars, etc.). I add additional mastering using iZotope Ozone's AI Mastering Assistant (Vintage setting, medium intensity). The mastering can be great in certain situations (I like it in the car), but it can sometimes be too loud for other situations (I prefer the remix alone on my home stereo). That is why I provide both the remix alone as well as the remix + remaster. You can always remaster the remix on your own as you wish as well.

The backing track for Sie Liebt Dich was a completely new recording…And I’ve always had difficulty syncing up the Komm Gib Mir Deine Hand backing track to the Australian vocal track…maybe somebody has done that here??

Nice job here by the way!

well Yes.
it can be done and if you alternate the various vocal tracks you can have some fun...and it stays in synch.
i did this one years ago(like the early 1990's) with a mate of mine on a fostex multitrack cassette deck with variable speed control
it could probably do with a slight top end boost...
