Let It Be... Monophonic/Frankensteined
Here is what you've been waiting for... A mono mix of Let It Be album
I use primarily dolby atmos mixes as foundations, while adding bits from session outtakes and earlier mixes. All Phil Spector's orchestral overdubs are turned down a little bit, among which The Long And Winding Road is most obvious. You can also notice Across The Universe and I Me Mine now have more clarity than ever, as I filtered clean orchestral overdubs and sync them to Naked Versions and boost higher end frequencies to make the sound crystal clear and less smudgy.
Other adjustments are waiting for you to find out!

And... There is more to it: A re-imagined version of Let It Be album!
After listening through the whole collection for four times, I assembled my Let It Be go-to list using the versions I love most, entitled Let It Be... Frankensteined, which invloves lots of trimming, de-noising, speed and EQ adjustment
It's definitely not a strong and cohesive album, but surely a interesting listen. The tracklist is as follows:
Side A:
Get Back - 2015 Mix, minus crackle and pop-up noises
Dig A Pony - Composite edit of 2021 Mix and Take 14, with the ending of Glyn Johns Mix
I've Got A Feeling - Glyn Johns Mix, edit out Ringo's chatter, lower end enhancement
One After 909 - Take 3 without false starts, edit in studio chatter from 2021 Mix, sync speed to album version
The Long And Winding Road - Take 19 without intro and outro
For You Blue - total reconstruction of Naked Version, with ambience similar to 2021 Mix
Without A Song - Jam, with clearer fade-in and fade-out
All Things Must Pass - Demo from Anthology 3, minus crackle and pop-up noises
Side B:
Two Of Us - 2021 Mix, EQ adjustment
Maggie Mae / Fancy My Chances With You - Original unedited rehearsal from Nagra tapes, fine-tune meticulously
Dig It - Glyn Johns Mix, edit out last bits to match album version, lower end enhancement
Don't Let Me Down - First rooftop performance, remove intro, sync speed to single version
I Me Mine - Naked Version with string and horn overdub filtered from original album version (this actually take a lot of work), add intro from Take 16
Across The Universe - Naked Version
Let It Be - 2021 Mix, EQ adjustment
Get Back (Reprise) - Glyn Johns Mix, add 8 seconds of silence at the beginning, de-noise, lower end enhancement

One surprise is, after adding necessary pauses after songs, the both sides run exactly 24 minutes!
Ugh, the exclusion of Teddy Boy is simply because I don't like it. It's both cringeworthy and nauseating to me, definitely one of Paul's worst tunes
A bonus remix of The Long And Winding Road [Take 19 With Orchestral Overdub] and album art are also included.
Enjoy!

Great work as ever
I noticed on the Hoffman forum that someone posted a Twickenham playlist which you said would make a good compilation to share, and it would.
If you do make a compilation I'd love to hear it.

Yes, as I stated in the Abbey Road post, this will come out once I've posted the last album in my remixed album series (which is Help!) because it can take so much hard work, and I am currently doing experiments to remove beep sounds

Re: Let It Be... Monophonic/Frankensteined
Kenny, thanks again for these! The mega folder for the mono LIB shows two files that say "undecrypted file"... all of the songs are there, so I'm assuming the two "undecrypted" are the art files? Can't get to them for some reason...KennySaxton wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 11:38 am Here is what you've been waiting for... A mono mix of Let It Be album
