The most successful ones have been those that are similar tempo, length, and structure within the same length. As per the Wicked Game mashup above.

I'm working on some remixes and I was quite interested in this site, I put in the songs I'm remixing (What Is Life with Jet, Watching The Wheels with Imagine and Tomorrow Never Knows with Morning Glory) and although the first two didn't work very well, it gave me some good ideas to include.
The one of Tomorrow Never Knows with Morning Glory that the site did is good enough to say that it left the work I had done so far in tatters, technology is increasing to incredible levels and that's good and scary at the same time.
