Inspired by Lord Reith's amazing remix of Real Love, here's my take on Free As A Bird with a cleaner vocal from John. No weird effects or distant muffled mixing. John is mixed upfront and double tracked.
WAV format.

Sounds fantastic! I always felt the track needed just a little more love, albeit more than technology could perhaps provide at the time. Thank you so much for this!

That´s fantastic; thank you!
I have alwys hoped they´d redo "Free as a bird" and "Real love" with newer demixing technology that wasn´t avaiable back in the day, just so that we´d get a better John vocal, although that ghosty misty dreamy singing fits perfectly well with the whole idea.
Does anyone have the "Real love" Lord Reith mix that was mentioned? I missed that one.
